Leaving Sussed

Updated 15 Sep 2026

You can take your profile off Sussed at any time, whether or not you've claimed it, and you can come back later with everything you'd written intact. If you only want a break, pausing introductions keeps your profile up and stops new requests.

If you've claimed your profile

Open Settings, tick the box under "Remove my profile" and press "Remove my profile now". From that moment:

  • Your profile page is gone, and you appear in no results.
  • No new introductions are sent to you.
  • Everything you added, your photo, your description, your districts, is kept unseen.
  • We email you to confirm.

Finish any open introduction before you remove your profile: once it's gone you can't mark how it ended. Any fee already due stays due, and we invoice it as usual.

If you haven't claimed it

Use "Ask to be taken off Sussed" at the foot of your profile page. Give us an email address and a phone number we can reach you on, and tick the box to say you are the adviser or act for them. A person checks every request, usually within two working days, and emails you when the listing is off. You can also just email us or call 03 926 6646.

If you'd rather do it yourself, claiming the profile proves it's you and gives you the button in settings.

What removal doesn't change

Your entry on the public register is the Companies Office's, not ours, and stays as it is. A visitor who follows an old link to your page sees only that an adviser asked not to be listed, with no name.

Coming back

Claim your profile again and it all comes back: your page, your words, your districts, and introductions. If your listing was switched on before, you're public again at once; if you'd never been listed, we switch you on after the usual check.
