You searched Sussed for your own name and you're not in the results. That doesn't mean you're missing. Every adviser on the public record has a profile here; what varies is whether it has been switched on yet. This page goes through the reasons you might not see yourself, and what to do about each.
Start here: search the claim page
The results pages only show advisers whose listing is switched on. Claim your profile searches everyone: type your name or your FSP number and you should see yourself, with your registered address, whether or not clients can see you yet.
If you find yourself there, press "This is me" and claim the profile. Claiming your profile goes through the steps.
Your listing isn't switched on yet
This is the usual reason. Sussed lists mortgage advisers only, and the public record doesn't say what kind of advice anyone gives: a mortgage adviser, an insurance adviser and an investment adviser all look the same on it. So we switch each profile on by hand once we're satisfied the person gives mortgage advice, and we work from what is public about you and your firm.
Sometimes that isn't enough to tell, and sometimes we get it wrong. If you advise on mortgages and your listing is off, claiming your profile is how you tell us. Your claim says you are a mortgage adviser; we check it, and switch the listing on. Nothing is charged for any of this.
You registered recently
Our copy of the public record is taken once a month, and the claim page shows its date. If you registered after that date you won't be in the search yet. Email us with your FSP number and we'll add you when the next copy lands.
The record shows nobody engaging you
To give financial advice, an adviser has to be engaged by a licensed financial advice provider, or hold their own licence, and the public record shows that link. If the record shows no provider for you, we treat you as not currently advising: you'll appear in the claim page's search with a note saying so, and you can't claim until the record changes.
If that's out of date, because you've joined a new firm and the record hasn't caught up, the fix is on the record itself: ask your provider to add you, or update your own registration. Our copy picks the change up the following month and your profile comes back on its own. If you think the record is already right and we've misread it, tell us with your FSP number and we'll look.
You asked to be taken off
If you, or someone at your firm, asked us to remove your profile, it is off every page on Sussed. It comes back the moment you want it to: search for yourself on the claim page and claim the profile, and once the claim is approved you're listed again. Leaving Sussed says what removal does and doesn't do.
None of these
If you've searched the claim page by FSP number and you're not there, and you registered before the date it shows, email us with your FSP number. It's a fault on our side and we'd like to know.
